Bodies in Flight
Inside I see a compressor for working marble and wood, a welder, hammers, chisels,
screwdrivers, files, pliers, gouges, brushes, paint tins, as in a craftsman’s workshop: but our artist is a
special kind of craftswoman, one who deals with the exchange of feelings, with the traffic between inside and
outside, with the inner traffic of thoughts and emotions.
The theme she is now working on brings together,
in a single riverbed, memory, love and exile. Traces, roots, flights. Naked bodies, storied by the weave of
the days, tattooed by the alternating events of life: our existences mingle with the places we inhabit and
that inhabit us.
